To advance the knowledge of the science of
military engineering,

by the engineering profession throughout the wars involving the
United States,

helpful interest between the engineering profession in civil
life and that in the military service,

awarding scholarships, providing continuing education
opportunities and mentoring programs, and

To sponsor readiness activities that
support emergency response efforts.
Our History
The Jacksonville Post was one of the original Society of American
Military (SAME) Posts that were chartered in 1920.

knowledge…and the rapid mobilization of engineering capabilities.”
